As a member of The Association for Contract Textiles, Merle was intimately involved in the early stages of creating an agenda for the Environmental Committee, which is now in the process of developing a Sustainable Textile Evaluation Tool for the industry. Merle has also been a major player in the development of the ACT Textile Glossary and in the Education Committee’s Specification Guide.  I consider her a mentor, a true professional, and friend, who continues to give back to the industry.
